Does this chain fit my bike?

This waxed chain is suitable for:

    Brand: SRAM
    Groupset: SRAM Apex Eagle 12-speedSRAM GX Eagle 12-speedSRAM SX / NX Eagle 12-speedSRAM X01 Eagle 12-speedSRAM XX1 Eagle 12-speed
    Bike type:E-bikeGravel bikeMountain bike
    Speeds: 12-speed

    Important before fitting: clean cassette

Never fit a waxed chain on an oily cassette or chainrings. Oil soaks into the fresh wax and the chain quickly gets dirty and dry again. Degrease the cassette, chainrings and jockey wheels thoroughly first and let everything dry. After that, the chain beds in within about 10 minutes of riding.

    How we wax your chain

    1. Ultrasonic cleaning & oven drying: Factory grease has to come off completely, or the wax won't bond. The chain is ultrasonically cleaned in several rinses and then dried in the oven: perfectly clean and bone dry.
    2. Hot wax dip in Silca Secret Chain Blend: We have the wax temperatures dialled in, so the wax gets deep into the rollers and pins. That gives you a perfect result.
    3. Bedded in & packed airtight: We bed the chain in, remove the excess residue and pack it airtight.

We ship it as a letterbox parcel, so you don't need to be home for delivery. All you need to do is fit it and bed it in.

    Frequently asked questions

Is this chain ready to fit?
Yes. The chain is fully degreased, ultrasonically cleaned and waxed with Silca Secret Chain Blend. Fit it, ride for about 10 minutes to bed it in, and you're good to go.
Which wax treatment should I choose?
Standard is the all-rounder for training and racing (~500 km dry). Speed gives the lowest friction for short, fast rides (~200 km). Endurance lasts longest (~1000 km) and is ideal for gravel, MTB and long rides.
How long does a wax coating last?
Depending on the wax and conditions, 200 to 1000 km dry and 100 to 600 km in the rain. When the chain sounds dry or noisy, it is time to re-wax.
Can I have the chain re-waxed later?
Yes. Send the chain to us with the Re-Wax service and we'll clean and re-wax it. With a multi-treatment pass it's even cheaper.
Do I need to shorten the chain?
Usually yes: a new chain is deliberately long. Calculate the right length with our chain length calculator and shorten it with a chain tool. The quick link is included.
