What switching from oil to wax does for your drivetrain: less friction, less dirt and less wear.
Every chain, new or Re-Wax, goes through the same three steps in our workshop in Drempt.
Factory grease and old oil have to come off completely, or the wax won’t bond. The chain is ultrasonically cleaned over several rinses and then dried in the oven: perfectly clean and bone dry.
The chain goes into molten wax with tungsten disulphide. We’ve got the wax temperatures dialled in, so the wax gets deep into the rollers and pins. That’s how you get a perfect result.
We break in the chain, remove the excess residue and pack it airtight. We send it as a letterbox parcel, so you don’t need to be home for delivery. All that’s left for you is to fit it and do the bedding in.
The same Silca base, three set-ups. Choose by how you ride, not by the biggest number.
Faster = re-wax sooner. Longer-lasting = a little less fast. Standard is the right choice for most riders.
